1
- Attend a Harvest Community School Informational Meeting
These meetings are held throughout the school year and are a mandatory
first step toward involvement in any HCS program. Click
here to learn more about our monthly meetings.
2
- Talk and pray about Harvest Community School
Discuss your educational options as a family and pray together about
your choices, asking God for His guidance before you make the next
move.
3
- Pay the Non-Refundable Intent Fee and/or Registration Fee
Prior to February of the year you are enrolling, pay
a non-refundable Intent Fee of $50 ($75 for 6th-8th grades) to reserve
a space for your child. Intent Fees do not reduce Registration
Fees of $300 per child due in February.
4
- Schedule Testing For Your Child
Beginning with Kindergarten, all children applying to Harvest Community
School are tested. The Testing Fee is $75 per student. On testing day,
please bring your child's Report Card or other testing results, such
as SATs.
5
- Fill Out the Application
Request a Family Application and other important enrollment
papers from the office and return them within two weeks.
6
- Complete Family Interview
A representative from the school office will call to set up a time
and place for your 30-minute family interview. We'd like to meet
your entire family and have you meet us!
7
- Start Tuition Payments
If it is on or after June 1st, it's time to begin paying tuition
for the coming school year. Call the office or consult the financial
information form for your payment amounts and options. Click
here for details.
8
- Take Approved Parenting Course
Parents have one year from the date of enrollment to complete an
approved, values-based Christian parenting course. Click
here for details.
9
- Order Curriculum and Uniforms
Get a class curriculum list and uniform information from the office
and make your purchases now. Delaying this step may mean your child
will not have the appropriate books and dress for the first day
of classes.
10
- Attend the Mandatory Parent Orientation
Held the week before classes begin, your class orientation is the
time to meet faculty and staff and get vital information for your
student's success at HCS. Both parents are encouraged to attend,
but the home educator MUST attend the orientation for EACH class
in which they have children. It is mandatory, and children will
not be allowed to attend the first day of school if it is missed.
