About Our Founders

Jack and Patty Wilcox opened Harvest Community School in 2000 but God placed the vision in their hearts many years before that.

Jack and Patty met briefly at age 16 and both walked away knowing they had just met the person they would marry. After high school graduation, Patty went on to Florida State University to earn her business degree while Jack went to the University of Central Florida to play football. They married in 1987. Like Rachel in Genesis and Hannah in I Samuel, the dream of having children was delayed, but God is loving and faithful and by 1994 a son, Jackson was born. A daughter, Lindsey, soon followed. During this time, God led Jack and Patty to begin Family Harvest Ministries. Along with teaching parenting classes, they also began the ground work for a school. They prayed for three years for direction of the school. God was faithful and the vision was revealed. Harvest Community School would be a place where educators and parents partnered together for the education, both spiritual and academic, of the student. A place where children would be taught to love God and where teachers and parents would share Godly values.

Harvest opened in 2000 while Jackson was in first grade. By May of 2001, God sent a third blessing, Rebekah, to the Wilcox home along with a prophesy that Rebekah would be a physical sign to watch. As she grew in Wisdom and Statue so would Harvest Community School.

And Harvest has grown! Harvest has been blessed with an Athletic and a Fine Arts program. It is accredited by Cognia, FCCPSA, and the National Council for Private School Accreditation.  Our former students are Moms, Dads, business professionals, counselors, teachers, students and more.

God continues to grow His vision at and through Harvest Community School. HCS offers AP classes and Dual Enrollment to the High school. Jackson, a first grader when Harvest opened, graduated with a Sports Management Degree from Florida State University in  2014 and is now the Athletic Director. Lindsey graduated from FSU in 2016 with a degree in Tourism, Recreation and Event Planning. Rebekah graduated in 2019 and is working at Harvest while in college.

I pray that you will carefully consider Harvest for your family. If God is leading you here, please contact the school to attend an Informational Meeting led by Patty. We would love to meet you!
