The Best of Both Worlds
Harvest Community School represents the best of both worlds: traditional school and home school. Our elementary and middle school both offer a blended schedule where students attend school Monday through Wednesday, then complete home school assignments at home on Thursday and Friday every week.
In middle school, lesson plans are created by teachers for every subject and include an overview of what students will be doing in class Monday-Wednesday, as well as a detailed list of assignments the students will complete on Thursday and Friday for home school. This home school work is due the following Monday.
This unique blend of schooling offers students the structure and social benefits of a more traditional school environment for part of the week, while still allowing parents the ability to remain involved in their child’s school work for the remainder of the week.
