Seventh Grade

A time of physical and emotional growth

Seventh grade, the middle of the middle school years, can often be a peak time in students’ growth and physical/emotional maturity. As students hit growth spurts and enter puberty, emotional highs and lows are common. While a seventh grader may not seem like he needs his parents, it is incredibly important that parents stay involved in the life of their student.

Typically, parents of seventh graders are taking a slight step back from their involvement level in academic work, thus allowing their students to take on more responsibility. However, their involvement in the emotional development of their student (the heart!) remains constant.
