Our seniors had so much fun visiting with their kindergarten buddies this week! Each senior is paired with a kindergarten student, and they meet four or five times during the year. They play on the playground, read together, play games and more. Sometimes the seniors bring little toys or treats for their buddy.
The year culminates in the final school “walk-through.” The seniors walk the halls one last time in their caps and gowns, and their buddies join them dressed in matching caps and gowns. It is SUCH a precious moment.
This is one of the best parts of our school: the community! It is so sweet to watch the seniors be so gentle and fun with the kindergartners.
